Why expression matters in childhood
Nepal, April 21 -- Have you ever felt like there is a vortex of emotions inside you, but no amount of words seems to be enough to properly explain it? If this is how you, as an adult, with all your advanced language and social skills, can sometimes feel, imagine how difficult it would be for a child, growing, learning, and feeling those emotions with no past experience of how to express them.
A child's inner world is vast but still under construction. When we expect them to "just explain" what they are feeling, we are often asking them to cross a bridge that has not yet been built.
