Where red forests bloom: Spring at Ghorepani and Poon Hill
Nepal, May 17 -- We grew up hearing the phrase, "Hariyo Ban Nepalko Dhan." But Ghorepani and Poon Hill are places that teach us that even red forests are part of Nepal's treasure.
Just as poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire wrote in his poem 'Baishakh', the barren hills frozen by winter have turned green with the arrival of spring. Flowers blooming in the season have filled the restless wind with fragrance. Along with the chirping of birds and the buzzing of bees, nature itself seems immersed in a sweet melody. Ghorepani and the Poon Hill region in Myagdi district are a perfect example of such unmatched natural beauty.
