Kathmandu, Aug. 15 -- The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has officially announced the termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Nepal, ordering affected individuals to leave the country or face formal deportation proceedings.

In an official public notification, the DHS confirmed that TPS terminations are now active across a broad list of designated nations. The table published by DHS leadership lists 13 countries-including Nepal, Haiti, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Honduras, Nicaragua, Venezuela, South Sudan, Burma, Somalia, and Ethiopia-signalling a comprehensive tightening of humanitarian immigration status.
