Siraha, July 30 -- Two youths were shot during clashes between two groups in Siraha district on Thursday, as tensions erupted in Golbazar over an earlier incident in Sunsari.

The unrest began early Thursday morning after protests and confrontations linked to the Sunsari incident spread to Golbazar, according to police.

The injured have been identified as 20-year-old Ganesh Yadav of Tulsipur in Siraha and 19-year-old Subash Thakur of Dharapani in Dhanusha, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Bahadur Pal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Siraha.
