Mahottari, March 3 -- Two people were injured after a suspicious object exploded in Bardibas of Mahottari district on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

District Police Office, Mahottari, stated that two youths, 17-year-old Sandesh Chaudhary and 24-year-old Sameer Chaudhary, both from Ghodaghodi-10 in Kailali, were injured when one of the two red-coloured suspicious objects exploded at around 3 pm on Tuesday.

The explosion occurred after one of three pedestrians travelling along the road accidentally kicked one of the objects.

The blast caused shrapnel injuries to the two individuals, who were subsequently taken for treatment. Their condition has not been disclosed.
