Kathmandu, March 8 -- The hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces will remain generally cloudy today, with isolated light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Other areas will see partly cloudy skies.

Tonight, cloudy conditions will persist in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini. Isolated light rain or snowfall with thunder is possible in parts of Koshi, Gandaki, and Bagmati, while some Tarai areas may experience haze.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division said Nepal is under the influence of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a low-pressure area near the eastern region in the lower atmosphere.
