Kathmandu, March 5 -- The weather will be partly cloudy in several hilly and mountainous regions on Thursday, while the rest of the country will experience mainly fair conditions, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division

Mist is expected in some places of the Tarai in the morning.

Tonight, partly cloudy conditions are forecast to persist in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. The remaining parts of the country are expected to see mainly fair weather. Haze may occur in a few areas of the Tarai region during the night.

Meteorologists have stated that the prevailing weather pattern is due to the partial impact of westerly winds over Nepal.
