Kathmandu, Feb. 18 -- Light rain and snowfall are likely in parts of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces on Wednesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The division said hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will see generally cloudy conditions during the day. Lumbini Province and the Tarai of Sudurpaschim, along with the high hills and mountains of other provinces, will witness partly cloudy skies. The rest of the country will remain mainly fair.

One or two places in the high hills and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces may receive light rain or snowfall.

In the morning, fog is expected in some parts of the Tarai.
