Kathmandu, May 6 -- Anjan Shrestha has been appointed president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), automatically succeeding under the federation's statute, which provides that the senior vice-president assumes the top post. He will lead the private sector umbrella body for the next three years.
The FNCCI's 60th general assembly, which began on Monday, saw voting held on Tuesday, with vote counting beginning the same day. Results for most office-bearer and committee positions have been declared, although counting is still ongoing in some categories.
