Baglung, March 7 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Som Sharma has been elected from Baglung-2, securing 12,647 votes, Election Officer Bhim Prasad Subedi said.
His closest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Tekraj Paudel, received 11,868 votes. Nepali Communist Party candidate Gyamnath Gaire secured 10,709 votes, while CPN-UML's Manju Sharma got 7,864 votes.
Sharma, a journalist and social activist, has been active in anti-corruption campaigns. He was also at the forefront of the Gen Z movement and regularly participated in protests at Maitighar in Kathmandu.
