Sarlahi, March 6 -- Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Amresh Kumar Singh has taken an early lead in Sarlahi-4 as vote counting continues following Thursday's parliamentary elections.

Singh has secured 1,239 votes so far, while Nepali Congress candidate and party president Gagan Kumar Thapa is in second place with 768 votes.

Janamat Party candidate Rakesh Mishra is third with 250 votes, followed by CPN-UML's Amnish Kumar Yadav with 199 votes.

In the 2022 elections, Singh had won the seat as an independent candidate with 20,017 votes, defeating Nepali Congress candidate Nagendra Kumar Rai, who received 18,253 votes.
