Kathmandu, Feb. 28 -- The Government of Qatar has issued an emergency advisory urging citizens, residents and migrant workers to remain indoors unless travel is necessary, following heightened regional tensions in the Middle East.

An estimated 400,000 Nepalis are currently employed in Qatar.

In an official press release issued on Saturday afternoon after Israeli and United States attacks on Iran, the Qatari government clarified that the country's internal security situation remains "fully stable and secure".

It noted that security agencies are monitoring developments round the clock and coordinating through an integrated operational system to strengthen public safety.
