Kathmandu, March 4 -- Prime Minister Sushila Karki met President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday and briefed him on the latest political developments and preparations for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

In a meeting held at the President's Office in Sheetal Niwas, the prime minister briefed the head of state on contemporary politics and the elections of the lower house, the Personal Secretariat of the President said.

Earlier, the meeting of the National Security Council (NSC), chaired by Prime Minister Karki, held at Singha Durbar, reviewed the election security arrangements and concluded that all necessary security arrangements are in place for the election.
