Kathmadnu, March 30 -- President Ramchandra Paudel has summoned a session of the federal parliament at the federal parliament building at 2 pm on Thursday.

President Paudel called sessions of both the National Assembly and House of Representatives on the recommendation of the Cabinet.

A Cabinet meeting on Monday recommended calling a session of both Houses.

The President's Office, in a statement, confirmed the summoning of both the upper and lower Houses following the conclusion of the recently held parliamentary elections on March 5.

According to the constitution provisions, the president summons a federal parliament session on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
