Biratnagar, Aug. 3 -- Police on Monday raided the home and office of prominent industrialist Prakash Mundara, a former president of the Morang Chamber of Commerce and Industry, after receiving a tip-off that a large cache of illegal cash was being stored on the premises. The extensive search, however, ended without any seizure.

According to the District Police Office, Morang he operation began at around 4am at Mundara's residence and office in ward 7 of Biratnagar Metropolitan City.

Acting on what police described as "special intelligence", officers from the District Police Office, Morang, the Biratnagar Ward Police Office and the Area Police Office in Rani carried out coordinated searches of the properties.
