Kathmandu, March 1 -- A Nepali national was among three people killed in an Iranian attack in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Ministry of Defence said.
In an official statement, the ministry said on Sunday that the fatalities included nationals of Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan, while 58 others sustained minor injuries.
Tej Bahadur Chhetri, Nepal's Ambassador to the UAE, confirmed that the embassy had received information regarding the death of one Nepali citizen.
"We have been informed about the death of a Nepali national, but detailed information has not yet been provided," Chhetri said, adding that UAE authorities have yet to formally release the identities of the deceased.
