Kathmandu, April 29 -- Oman defeated Nepal by 102 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in a rain-affected ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 match at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Wednesday.
Chasing 306, Nepal were 155 for 7 in 36.5 overs when rain abandoned play. At that stage, they were well behind the DLS par score, handing Oman a comfortable victory.
Oman posted 305 for 8 in 50 overs after opting to bat first. Captain Jatinder Singh led the charge with a commanding 130 off 96 balls, hitting 15 fours and five sixes. His innings accounted for 90 runs through boundaries and marked the highest ODI score by an Omani batter.
