Nvidia donates $10 million to flood recovery, one of Nepal's biggest corporate donations
Kathmandu, Sept. 4 -- Nvidia, the technology company at the centre of the global artificial intelligence boom, has donated $10 million to help Nepal recover from devastating floods and landslides.
The donation from the US-based company and its co-founder and chief executive, Jensen Huang, has been deposited into the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund through Himalayan Bank, the bank's chief executive, Ashok Rana, said on social media.
The contribution is the largest financial assistance Nepal has received from a technology company since the Bhotekoshi River flood on August 26 and among the biggest corporate donations to the country's recovery effort.
