Ramechhap, March 3 -- Election materials and additional staff were dispatched on Tuesday to two polling centres in Ramechhap after a vehicle carrying polling officials was involved in an accident on Monday.

The jeep was headed to polling centres at Siruwari in ward 2 and Sanghutar in ward 3 of Ramechhap Municipality when it lost control while reversing and plunged around 100 metres.

According to Narayan Lamichhane, chief election officer at the District Election Office, Ramechhap, ballot papers, voter lists and other materials were recovered safely from the accident site on Monday night and brought to the Office of Returning Officer in Manthali.
