Kathmandu, July 21 -- Nepali pickles are increasingly finding buyers overseas, with exports reaching more than a dozen countries as small-scale entrepreneurs turn traditional kitchen recipes into commercial ventures.

Nepal exported pickles worth Rs211.69 million in the first 11 months of the last fiscal year, according to data from the Department of Customs. The country shipped pickles to Italy, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Belgium, Mauritius, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and India during the period.
