Kathmandu, April 3 -- Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products, marking the third hike in less than a month.

The state-owned monopoly raised the price of petrol and diesel/kerosene by Rs15 per litre each, effective Friday. With the latest revision, petrol will cost Rs202 per litre in the Kathmandu Valley, while diesel will be priced at Rs182 per litre.

The corporation said the hike follows a continued rise in international fuel prices.

Between March 16 and March 31, the corporation reported losses of Rs47 per litre on petrol, Rs133 per litre on diesel and Rs416 per cylinder of liquefied petroleum gas.

Following the adjustment, the oil utility said its monthly losses have narrowed to Rs11.71 billion. However...
