Lamjung, April 1 -- The Besisahar-Chame road has reopened after a landslide at Shreechaur in ward 4 of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality disrupted traffic on Tuesday afternoon.
The landslide occurred around 2pm amid rainfall, damaging the road and halting movement along the route. Authorities cleared the debris and repaired the affected section, allowing traffic to resume from Tuesday evening, police said.
Khushiram Gurung, chair of the Khudi unit of the Lamjung Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said traffic began operating in the evening, initially on a one-way basis, before the road was fully cleared after stranded vehicles moved to their destinations.
