Hetauda, May 3 -- A landslide at Bharyangdanda in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 of Makawanpur and at Pangdure in Bagmati Rural Municipality-4 of Lalitpur on Sunday morning has blocked the Kanti Lokpath.

The road has remained obstructed since around 5am after debris from the two locations cut off the highway, according to authorities.

Residents, police personnel and officials from the Department of Roads have been deployed to clear the debris from both sites.

With the route closed, vehicles travelling from Hetauda towards Kathmandu via Kanti Lokpath have been stranded at Thingan, while vehicles coming from the Kathmandu side have been halted in the Chyamle area.
