Kathmandu, July 1 -- Jagdamba Motors Pvt Ltd., the authorised distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, is set to introduce the Proton e.MAS 5, which the company says will be the country's first rear-wheel-drive electric compact SUV in its segment.

The company said the launch comes as demand for electric vehicles continues to grow in Nepal, where EVs have gained an increasing share of the passenger vehicle market in recent years.
