Kathmandu, Sept. 14 -- Nepal's Minister for Infrastructure Development, Sunil Lamsal, is actively overseeing the government's efforts to restore physical infrastructure damaged by the catastrophic Bhotekoshi floods of August 26, while also helping shape plans to relocate communities exposed to future disaster risks. The floods have killed at least 1,384 people and left over 4,000 missing, according to the latest government figures. They also displaced thousands of families and damaged roads, bridges, hydropower facilities and other critical infrastructure across several districts.
