Kathmandu, Sept. 3 -- Heifer International Nepal and its employees have contributed Rs10 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund to support communities affected by the devastating August 26 floods and landslides.

The contribution includes funds from Heifer Nepal's emergency provision and donations from its staff, who allocated a portion of their salaries to the relief effort, the organisation said in a statement.

The August 26 disaster, triggered by a glacier collapse in the high Himalayas, caused extensive damage and loss of life in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other downstream areas.
