Kathmandu, May 4 -- The government has decided to resend the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council to President Ramchandra Paudel for authentication after it was returned for reconsideration.
A Cabinet meeting held on Monday took the decision to forward the ordinance again, according to government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel.
The government has resubmitted the ordinance without making any changes.
On Sunday, President Paudel returned the ordinance, asking the government to reconsider it instead of granting authentication. His legal adviser, Baburam Kunwar, said the decision followed a review of the provisions included in the proposal sent by the Cabinet.
