Government releases Rs675 million to 15 local units hit by Bhotekoshi flood
Kathmandu, Aug. 30 -- The government has released Rs67.5 million to 15 local units in five districts affected by the Bhotekoshi flood to strengthen search, rescue and immediate relief operations.
The funds were released from the Disaster Management Fund following a decision by the Executive Committee of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority on August 27, according to authority chief executive officer Dharmaraj Upreti.
In Rasuwa, Uttargaya Rural Municipality received Rs7.5 million, Gosainkunda Rural Municipality Rs10 million, Kalika Rural Municipality Rs3 million and Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality Rs2 million.
