Government forms probe panel over allegations against former home minister Sudan Gurung
Kathmandu, May 14 -- The government has formed a committee to study and investigate matters of public concern raised during and after the tenure of former home minister Sudan Gurung.
A Cabinet meeting on May 11 decided to form the committee under the leadership of former High Court judge Achyut Prasad Bhandari. Comptroller General Shovakant Paudel and Joint Attorney Achyutmani Neupane are members of the panel.
Deepa Dahal, press and research expert to Prime Minister Balendra Shah, said the committee has been tasked with investigating allegations made publicly against Gurung, who is also a member of the House of Representatives.
