Kathmandu, April 21 -- The government has formed a three-member recommendation committee led by the vice-chair of the National Planning Commission (NPC) to select the new chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
A Cabinet meeting on Tuesday decided to constitute the committee under NPC vice-chair Gunakar Bhatta to recommend candidates for the vacant post at the securities regulator. Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyaya and Bhuvan Dahal have been named as members.
The position fell vacant after SEBON Chair Santosh Narayan Shrestha resigned on April 17.
