Kathmandu, March 1 -- The gold price rose by Rs5,600 per tola (11.663 grams) in the domestic market on Sunday.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association set the gold rate at Rs320,500 per tola, up from Rs314,900 the previous day. Silver also gained, climbing Rs245 per tola to Rs5,985 from Rs5,740.
The highest recorded prices so far are Rs339,000 per tola for gold and Rs7,505 for silver on January 29.
Analysts expect prices to rise further on Monday amid ongoing tensions in West Asia.
Internationally, gold surpassed $5,278 per ounce, reflecting concerns over geopolitical instability, while crude oil may rise due to potential supply disruptions.
