Gen Z representatives reject government's invitation for constitution amendment talks
Kathmandu, May 15 -- Representatives of the Gen Z movement have turned down an invitation from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers for talks on constitution amendment, saying they will not engage in dialogue until a previous agreement with the government is fully implemented.
In a joint statement issued on Friday, 25 activists said they support the need to revise the constitution in line with changing times, but stressed that the state must first demonstrate accountability over past commitments and agreements.
They raised concerns over the 10-point agreement signed with the government on December 10 last year, saying its implementation remains uncertain.
