Kathmandu, Aug. 15 -- When Suman Giri, one of the producers of Nepal's third-highest grossing film 'Gauthali', came across a YouTube channel that had been continuously posting pirated clips of his movie, what struck him was more than the piracy itself. It was a weary reminder of human nature.

With clips ranging from a few seconds to hours being recorded inside cinema halls and circulated without copyright permission, Giri, also one of the co-producers of Nepal's most celebrated franchise 'Chakka Panja', now believes that every Nepali film is vulnerable to digital piracy.
