Four Congress ministers resign from Karnali government
Birendranagar, July 15 -- Four ministers from the Nepali Congress have resigned from the Karnali provincial government.
The ministers submitted their resignations to Chief Minister Yam Lal Kandel on Wednesday. However, their resignations have not yet been formally accepted.
Social Development Minister Ghanshyam Bhandari confirmed that the ministers resigned to 'clear the way' for changes in the provincial cabinet.
The Congress was represented in the government by Rajiv Bikram Shah as minister for economic affairs and planning, Bhandari as social development minister, Bijaya Budha as minister for water resources and energy, and Suresh Adhikari as minister for industry, tourism, forests and environment.
