Nepal, Sept. 14 -- Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle will visit India on September 17-18 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava said on Monday.

Wagle will discuss Nepal-India economic cooperation and post-disaster reconstruction during his two-day visit, according to Srivastava. The visit will be the first high-level trip from Nepal since the devastating floods of August 26 that killed 1,388 people and destroyed property worth around $ 4.75 billion in three districts.

During his stay in New Delhi, Wagle is also scheduled to meet Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.
