Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle heads to New Delhi
Kathmandu, Sept. 17 -- Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle left for New Delhi on Thursday for a three-day visit at the invitation of the Indian government, with post-disaster reconstruction and closer Nepal-India economic, political and diplomatic cooperation on his agenda.
Wagle's visit comes as Nepal assesses the economic impact of recent disasters and plans reconstruction, while seeking to deepen ties with its southern neighbour. He departed Kathmandu on a 7:35am flight.
During the visit, Wagle is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart, Nirmala Sitharaman, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. He is due to meet Sitharaman on Thursday evening.
