Kathmadnu, March 29 -- Former home minister and Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak was produced before the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday after his arrest on Saturday morning.
He was brought to court today, as it was a public holiday on Saturday. According to court registrar Tirtha Bhattarai, the hearing for remand extension is scheduled before Judge Ananda Shrestha. Before this, Lekhak was taken to the government attorney's office.
The government arrested Lekhak from his residence in Katunje, Bhaktapur, citing the implementation of recommendations made by a commission led by former Special Court chair Gauri Bahadur Karki.
