Kathmadnu, Feb. 25 -- A total of 186,000 temporary voters have been officially registered for the upcoming House of Representatives elections, the Election Commission (EC) said.

Kul Bahadur GC, spokesperson of the Election Commission, noted that the temporary voters are permitted to cast their ballots under the Proportional Representation (PR) category at the designated polling stations.

Under existing legal provisions, individuals whose names are on the master electoral roll but are unable to reach their permanent polling stations due to election duties or other prescribed circumstances are enrolled on the temporary voter list.
