Eight charged in Nepal Children Organisation's fund embezzlement case
Nepal, July 24 -- A case has been filed at the Kathmandu District Court against eight individuals on charges of embezzling funds belonging to the Nepal Children's Organisation.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police has charged Asha Shrestha, then chief of the Planning and Scholarship Division at the organisation; Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, then secretary of the organisation's Kathmandu District Working Committee; Om Krishna Karmacharya, then chair of the Lalitpur chapter; Yuri Kumari Rai, then chair of the Bhojpur chapter; and Deepak Das Shrestha, then deputy treasurer of the organisation.
