Kathmandu, Aug. 12 -- The Special Court has ordered businessmen Deepak Bhatta and Sulav Agrawal to remain in custody in a money laundering case.

A bench comprising Special Court Chairperson Basudev Acharya and member Hemanta Rawal issued the order after recording their statements and hearing arguments on whether they should remain in custody.

The two were already in custody in connection with a money laundering case and were brought before the Special Court on Wednesday to face proceedings in another case.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation and the Central Investigation Bureau separately investigated Bhatta and Agrawal and filed cases against them in the Special Court, High Court and District Court.
