Kathmandu, Oct. 7 -- The Kathmandu District Court has barred the sale or transfer of a helicopter owned by Mustang Helicopter Pvt Ltd, a company associated with mountaineer Nirmal Purja, widely known as "Nimsdai".

The court imposed the restriction over the company's failure to pay compensation awarded to the owners of a house that was destroyed in an explosion involving oxygen and LPG cylinders stored there by the company, according to lawyer Ananta Raj Luitel, who represents the homeowners.

Purja died on August 1 while attempting to climb Broad Peak in Pakistan.
