Kathmadnu, April 22 -- The domestic bullion market witnessed significant fluctuations this week, with gold prices showing sharp volatility before ending with a slight recovery.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the week opened with fine gold fixed at Rs 302,700 per tola on April 15. Prices peaked the following day at Rs 302,800. However, the market saw a sharp correction on April 17, when gold fell by Rs 3,000 to Rs 299,800.
After a mid-week dip that pushed prices to a weekly low of Rs 299,700 on April 20, gold posted a modest recovery by the end of the trading period, closing at Rs 301,300 on April 21. Despite the late rebound, gold ended the week Rs 1,400 lower than its opening rate.
