Kathmandu, Sept. 16 -- US Embassy Charge d'Affaires Megan Bouldin paid a call on Prime Minister Balendra Shah at the Prime Minister's Office in Singha Durbar on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Shah thanked the US government for expressing solidarity with Nepal and for its support at a difficult time following the disasters, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Shah said both Nepali and foreign nationals had been affected by the disasters. He also said Nepal was confronting the impacts of climate change, stressing the need to strengthen global cooperation and collective efforts to reduce climate-related disaster risks and address their effects.
