Kathmandu, Aug. 5 -- The bodies of four climbers killed in an avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak on July 30, including renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja, have been brought down to the base camp, officials said.

Nepal lawmaker and mountaineer Mingma Gyabu Sherpa (Mingma David), who is in Pakistan coordinating the recovery operation, announced on Facebook that the bodies of Purja, also known as "Nims Dai", along with Chinese climber Wang Zhong, and Nepali climbers Nima Sherpa and Kili Pemba Sherpa, had been recovered from the mountain and transported to the base camp.
