Nepal, May 5 -- 'Beijing's Durand Trial' reflects an escalating struggle to project domestic security logic beyond its western frontier, specifically the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR). At the core of Beijing's security doctrine are the 'Three Evil Forces'-terrorism, religious extremism and separatism-viewed as threats to state stability. This framework underpins the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) 'Strike Hard' campaigns to suppress the anti-state elements.
