Ancient symbols, contemporary canvas
Kathmandu, June 13 -- Gallery 108 presents 'Archetype', a contemporary solo art exhibition by Krishna Gopal Shrestha.
The exhibit explores Nepal's ancient visual traditions and sacred imagery. Through large-scale paintings inspired by early paubhas, manuscripts, sculptures, and temple art, Shrestha examines how archetypal forms continue to shape cultural memory, identity, and spiritual imagination across generations.
Having been exposed to sacred heritage sites since childhood, he developed a strong connection to art and understanding the cultural aspects behind it.
