Kathmandu, June 25 -- growing software approach known as vibe coding, where artificial intelligence is used to generate applications from simple instructions, is rapidly expanding in Nepal as government bodies and private companies adopt it.

Nepal Telecom, the state-owned telecom operator, has recently set up a software wing that has already built around half a dozen digital portals and systems in a short period. The company said it has developed tools, including a demand portal to centralise requests from local offices up to ministries, and a meeting management portal designed to manage frequent meetings amid limited physical space. These systems have been developed by its engineers with support from artificial intelligence.
