JAMMU, April 4 -- Several important public issues were raised by the Members during the Zero Hour in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today, seeking timely intervention and action from the government.

MLA Ghulam Ahmad Mir raised the issue that fuel required for agricultural and horticultural machinery is not being adequately provided to the farmers in South Kashmir in view of the restrictions on loose sale of fuel by petrol pump.

MLA Rajiv Jasrotia demanded bifurcation of ration cards so that the deserving citizens can avail the benefits of various social welfare schemes of the Union Territory and the Central Government.
