KATHUA, April 1 -- Acting on the directions of the Transport Commissioner, J&K, and under the supervision of RTO Kathua, A team led by ARTO Kathua Shammi Kumar carried out a major enforcement drive across the Billawar area on Wednesday.

During the intensive checking , a total of 154 vehicles were inspected. Out of these, 54 vehicles were found violating various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and were challaned, resulting in a fine of Rs 3,69,400 being imposed on the offenders.

In a strict action against serious violations, 12 driving licences (DLs) were also suspended on the spot, sending a strong message to habitual offenders and negligent drivers.
