SJVN's 660 MW Buxar Thermal Unit-II begins commercial operation

SHIMLA, Sept. 12 -- Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN, informed that SJVN has successfully achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) of Unit-II (660 MW) of 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project on 12.09.2026.

Bhupender Gupta expressed gratitude to Central and State Governments, Ministry of Power and other key Ministries and Departments for their constant guidance and support. He also appreciated collective commitment, dedication and perseverance of SJVN employees and all stakeholders who have directly or indirectly contributed to achievement of this significant milestone.
